Easter Scenes

Displaying the spoils from the egg hunt!
It is now Tuesday morning - a day later than I usually post.  But it has been one whirlwind of an Easter Holiday for us.  For starters, this was the first time in some years that we have been back in Canada for Easter.  While in Cape Cod, Easter would come and go with very little hurrah, as it was not actually a holiday.  With a full four day weekend here, though, we took full advantage.  Also, my parents, fresh off the plane from their trip to Africa, decided to pack up once again and drive up here to see us.  Clearly, it was non-stop fun.  Here is a photo recap:

Lots of reading time while wearing some new African clothes
The kids were very keen to show Mary and Bob the Nature Museum
Group puzzle solving
Reading about whales, I think
A spooky (ie, weirdly exposed) shot in the basement of the museum
There were a whole lot of card games that happened.  This is some strangely colour-coordinated rummy
On Saturday we went to the Diefenbunker museum for an Easter egg hunt.  It is an actual fallout shelter, and therefore very difficult to get pictures.  This, however, was the huge Bank of Canada vault at the bottom.  Pretty cool.
Easter morning!  Baskets and eggs ready to be found
Ready for the hunt
And they're off!
Post Easter-morning shaving session with his dad
Lather....
... and shave!  (don't worry, the plastic cover was on at all times)
Easter morning bike ride - on newly upgraded bikes!  Here Juniper is riding on one with only hand brakes - a big change to get used to (Her new Beanie Boo, Arctic, is along for the ride)
That's Linden in the front on Juniper's old bike.  Both of these bikes are hand-me-downs from my sister Kelli's kids, and are very much loved and appreciated around here!
Bob reads one of the books that Linden most recently wrote and illustrated, called "Dada and me in the Rain".  Linden is as pleased as punch to have his own book read to him!
And that's it!  I have some video to post on Juniper and Linden. org, but that will have to wait until later today or tomorrow.  You can check back if you are interested, but I'll also post a reminder next week.  See you then!
